2025 Robot Games Season Wraps Up

Students from Crystal Springs School from Grades 5 to 12 entered over 30 robots in two different robot competitions this spring. The Hutterite Robot Games, involving students from 13 different schools, took place at Silver Winds School near Sperling on April 26th, and the Manitoba Robot Games was at Tec Voc High School on May 17th. Covid-19 School Suspension

SCU Christmas Carols

Once again, the Crystal Springs School High School Choir pulled off a wonderful performance at SCU. The annual tradition of schools performing Christmas music on AM1250 from the SCU Atrium continues to be a big part of the Christmas season calendar of events. Choir Visits Silver Courts in Niverville

Crystal Springs School High School Choir and Guitar Ensemble, along with a few violin students, spent an enjoyable evening entertaining the wonderful folks at Silver Courts Senior Residence in Niverville. This was an opportunity for students to practice their pieces in preparation for Monday’s Steinbach Credit Union performance for Sounds of the Season with AM1290. The performance was followed by an opportunity to spend time with the residents enjoying some cookies and drinks and chats.

Anne of Green Gables Musical Success

Grade 8-12 students at Crystal Springs just concluded a grueling 2 1/2 month marathon, with two productions of an Anne of Green Gables Musical. The cast has been working on the songs since mid-February. Practices have been going for the last month on the drama side. It all culminated with a 2 hour performance on April 30th and May 3rd. Two finalists in Hockey Canada’s Design a Mask contest

Two students, a Grade 8 and a Grade 11,from Crystal Springs School are going head to head in the Over-13 category for Hockey Canada’s Design-A-Mask contest. The winning design will be worn by Hockey Canada’s goalie at the IIHF World Junior Championship in 2019. You can vote at Hockey Canada’s Facebook page. Contest closes at midnight on Tuesday, November 27th. Let your voice be heard. Which one is the best?

Eastman Choir Visits Crystal Springs School

Crystal Springs students had the wonderful opportunity to experience the Eastman Choir perform live in our gym this morning. The 41 person choir of Grade 9-12 students from communities across Eastern Manitoba performed for 45 minutes with a diverse repertoire. Tomorrow, 10 students from Crystal Springs will join the Eastman Choir and other student from numerous Hanover Schools in a Choral Workshop and end the day with a public performance.
