Crystal Spring students participated in the the CODE or Project Love program. The aim of the project was to raise money to buy and pack school supplies for students in developing countries.
“CODE’s Project Love is a great opportunity for Canadian youth to act as global citizens by sending much-needed educational materials to students and teachers in developing countries. The program talks to young people about international development in terms they can understand. And it gives them a hands-on activity to help their global neighbours their own age.
It’s also an opportunity for Canadian students and community groups to learn about the challenges faced by children and teachers in other parts of the world. Best of all, Project Love provides an opportunity to think locally, act globally and make a difference. ” – project love website
