Crystal Spring School is unique in Hanover as it is a Hutterian school open only to Hutterian students. All the teaching staff at Crystal Spring are also members of the community.
Hutterites are a religious, communal group. As such, education is seen as very important. It is our goal to ensure that the students at Crystal Spring School develop the knowledge and skills to survive in the ever changing world they live in. Furthermore, it is our goal to help our students develop into sound, moral citizens of our country and our world.
Jimmy Carter – former President of the United States of America once stated: “We must accommodate changing times, but cling to unchanging principles.”
In many ways, this is what we at Crystal Spring School are trying to accomplish. We want our students to be able to face whatever challenges life might bring them. But, we also want to instill in them a deep love for God and the world He has created!
No man who worships education has got the best out of education…. Without a gentle contempt for education no man’s education is complete. –G.K. Chesterton
The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think – rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men. -Bill Beattie
